NOVA tilt draws
43 local teams

About 43 teams, spread in eight age-groups, are seeing action in the 17th staging of the NOVA-NOCSF Age-Group Volleyball Tournament that starts today at the University of St. La Salle College Covered Court in Bacolod City.

Vying for the boys' 10-under title are E.B. Magalona A and Queen of Peace School, while three teams from St. John's Institute, two teams from St. Benilde School and a team each from Trinity Christian School, E.B. Magalona, QPS and USLS-Integrated School will play in the girls' division.

The 12-Under boys' competition will feature La Consolacion Academy-Murcia, E.B. Magalona, QPS and USLS-IS, while SJI, TCS, La Carlota City, Silay, Escalante and USLS-IS will slug it out for the girls' crown.

Only three teams have signed up for the 14-Under boys event, namely LCC-Main, LCA-Murcia and USLS-IS, while five teams --- LCC-Main, SJI, SBS, Silay and St. Joseph's School-La Salle --- will figure in the girls' competition.

Drawing the most number of teams is the 16-Under girls division with nine squads. SJI, SBS, Negros Occidental High School, La Carlota, Escalante, Bacolod Christian Center, SJS-LS, USLS-IS and Mansilingan Christian Academy have confirmed their participation.

Bacolod City National High School, LCC-Main, USLS-IS, SJS-LS and MCA will compete for the boys' 16-Under crown. *CPT
