Class '73 Globelines strengthened their hold of the top spot by
banging 9,176 pinfalls in the Class A division, while Class '70
stayed at No. 1 in the Class B bracket of the ongoing Negros Occidental
High School Inter-Class Alumni Bowling Tournament at the Super Lanes
of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.
With four rounds remaining until the finals, Globelines is
eyeing the twice-to-beat incentive to fast-track its bid for a third
straight title.
Carrying the colors for Class '73 are Felipe Boy Romero, Hernand
Garciniego, Gene Guanzon, Butch Villagracia, Francis Divinagracia,
Jerry Rodrigo, Bert Aragon and Grace Ong. Standing in their way
are Class '68 and Class '66 squads.
Class '68 is behind by only 83 pins. The last round is set
April 14.
Still in contention are Class '82 with 8,906; Class '72, 8,835;
Class '83, 8,823; Class '67, 8,749; Class '62, and Class '65, 8,464.
Class '70 is on top of the overall standing in Class B bracket
with 8,758 followed by Class '77 with 8,469.
Other scores include Class '71 with 8,438; Class '80, 8,427;
Class '88, 8,379; Class '56, 8,230; Class '54, 8,104; Class '89,
8,103;, and Class '76, 7,709.
Class '66 holds the highest team single at 588; Class '73
in triple at 1,653 pinfalls, as Rodolfo Pamatian, of Class '83,
and Grace Ong, of Class '73 at 147 and 134, respectively.
Tess Aplaon, of Class '65 registered the highest triple mark
with 317 in the women's bracket, and Gene Guanzon, of Class '73
in the men's division with 368.
Eduardo Jara, of Class '62 and Lilia Uberas, of Class '67 established
the highest pinning records at 94 and 89 pinfalls, respectively.*HLG
