Bing bares NPC
slate for Bacolod
BY CHRYSEE SAMILLANO

Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia yesterday said he has been authorized by the Nationalist People's Coalition to nominate candidates for vice mayor and councilors.

Leonardia, the city chairman of NPC, said he is going to nominate Councilor Jude Thaddeus Sayson for vice mayor when the time comes. He was informed yesterday that they can expect the official nomination of Vice Mayor Renecito Novero for congressman anytime, he said. The nomination of congressman will come from Manila, he added.

Novero, who ran under the Lakas Party in 2004, said there is no law that prohibits them from changing political parties.

Leonardia had earlier said that most of the incumbent councilors are in their line-up, namely Councilors Greg Gasataya, Dindo Ramos, Homer Bais, Al Victor Espino and Napoleon Cordova. He also said joining their team are Roberto Tan, the brother of Assistant Transportation Secretary Ricardo Tan, former Councilor Roberto Rojas, Chuck Estrella and Wilson Gamboa Jr.*CGS
