NORSU grad tops exam
BY MARICAR ARANAS

A graduate of the Negros Oriental State University topped the Geodetic Engineer Licensure Examination held in September this year in Manila.

Nebo Allen Manuales Torres, a consistent honor student, obtained a rating of 86.80 percent, getting the number one rank nationwide. NORSU also garnered a 100 percent passing percentage, against the national passing rate of 40.19 percent. The three other NORSU graduates who passed the examination are John Chito Chin, Nelson Galo, Jr. and Ham Mapa.

NORSU Geodetic department head, Michael Saga, said they expected Torres to land in the top 10.

College of Engineering and Architecture acting Dean, Elijah Serate, said NORSU students have also been achievers in previous licensure examinations.*MA
