Secretary Armin Luistro of the Department of Education has appointed Ramir Uytico as the Negros Oriental Schools Division superintendent, effective immediately.
Before his appointment, Uytico was the officer in charge of the Office of the Schools Division Superintendent of Dumaguete City.
Uytico said his first concern is to take care of the welfare of teachers as frontliners, adding that no matter what preparations have been introduced to them academically, they will not be affective in teaching if the division does not take care of their needs, too.
He also expressed concern over the delayed salaries of preschool teachers.
Gov. Roel Degamo, meanwhile, said he has full trust and confidence in the capability of Uytico to deliver the services needed in the schools division of the province.*JG
