Jobs fair in
Dumaguete May 1

BY RENE GENOVE

The Tripartite Industrial Peace Council of Negros Oriental will hold a local and overseas jobs’ fair on May 1, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Robinsons Place in Dumaguete City.

The activity is in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment, local government units of Negros Oriental and Dumaguete City, and local and overseas employers invited to participate in the event.

Jobseekers have been advised to pre-register with the Public Employment Services Office in their areas, and to bring with them their resume or biodata, photo copies of transcript records, high school diploma, training and employment certificates, passport or visa during the jobs fair.

The early registration will enable participating employers to pre-screen the applicants, interview them during the fair, and be hired on the spot, the TIPC said.

The Council is chaired by Negros Oriental Gov. Roel Degamo, and co-chaired by Dumaguete City Mayor Manuel Sagarbarria and DOLE-7 director Ma. Gloria Tango, with representatives from the employers and labor sectors as co-chairs.*RG
