63 companies joining
Labor Day jobs fair

Sixty-three local companies and overseas recruitment agencies will join the jobs fair of the Department of Labor and Employment, Bacolod Public Employment Service Office, and SM City inBacolod City, Moises de la Cruz, said yesterday.

The Labor Day jobs fair are nationally coordinated by the DOLE.

De la Cruz said jobseekers who have pre-registered their applications will be prioritized in the job fair, but those who have not, can still join and pass their applications to the participating companies.

The overseas recruitment agencies joining the activity and Pieces Incorporated, Placewell Manpower Services, Lead Manpower Services, Al Alamia International Manpower Services, Magsaysay Maritime Shipping, MMML Recruitment Services, JPC Consultancy and Manpower Agency, and Orophil Shipping International Corp.

Some 55 businesses from local companies will also join the fair.

Among these are SM Supermalls and Department Store, Island Living Channel, San Carlos Bioenegry Inc., Central Azucarera de La Carlota, San Miguel Brewery Inc., New Rural Bank of Victorias, Universal Robina Corporation-Sugar Division, Toyota-Bacolod, Aldritz Corporation, Dailyware Marketing, Dynamic Builders Construction Co. Philippines, Merci, Watsons, Bong-bongs, and Livewell Spa and Massage Center.

Meanwhile, more than 3,600 jobseekers from Bacolod City and Negros Occidental pre-registered their applications last week and the PESO is expecting this number to increase since walk-in applicants will also be accommodated.*LTG
