Vital Run 2 will hit the streets of Ayala Land in Talisay City on September 2, to again raise awareness on the plight of indigent patients at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital emergency room and mentally ill patients, a press release from organizers said.

A follow-up to last year's Vital Run, organized by the Lingkod ER and Negros Group of Psychiatrists, their fun run is open to all those who wish to get exercise, bonding and memorable times with their friends and members of the family, the press release said.

Categories this year include Best Race Bib for 1-km participants, Best Headdress for 3-km participants and Best Family/Barkada Theme Costume, also for 3-km participants, where a group of three or four can be at their creative best, the press release also said.

The event will also include 5, 10, and 15-kilometer runs for those who are in serious long distance running, it added.*
