The ”Silay Market-Market sa Christmas Village”, a seven-hour sale of Silay products, will be held at the public plaza covered court on Sunday, a press release from Silay said.

The event sponsored by Hugyaw-Silay Inc. and Friends of Tourism – Silay is a prelude to the opening of Silay Christmas Village at 6:30 p.m. also on Sunday, the press release said.

Marissa Montelibano, president of HIS, said Silaynon delicacy makers, vendors, restaurant operators, farmers and barangay residents can sell their products there from 7 a.m. up to 2 p.m.

Jason Benedicto assured buyers that the farmers of Silay will send their best harvest and the Association of Silay Delicacy Makers at Calle Carajo will bring their top-rated hometown delicacies to the plaza.

Mayor Jose Montelibano said that this will be an opportunity for visitors and residents to taste the best products of Silay and have their early Christmas shopping.*
