A resolution requesting the Central Negros Electric Cooperative to defer any additional increase in electricity rates pending the resolution of ERC Case No. 2012-003 CF was approved by the Sangguniang Panlungsod Wednesday.

ERC Case No. 2012-003 is an application for appeal of over/under adjustment in the implementation of automatic cost adjustment filed by CENECO.

The resolution authored by Councilor Archie Baribar said that a press release from CENECO stated that an increase in the July 2012 billing will be imposed as a consequence of a force action to purchase power from Panay Energy Development Corp. at Wholesale Electricity Spot Market rates due to a breakdown of some KEPCO-SPC Power Corp. facilities.

2nd ‘Negosyo Sa Barangay’
entrepreneurship training set

The Department of Trade and Industry-Philippine Trade Training Center, Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship-Go Negosyo and the Center for Future Leadership Inc., in cooperation with the Department of the Interior and Local Government will be holding the 2nd Negosyo sa Barangay Entrepreneurship Development Training, a press release from the group said.

Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan members and officials are expected to be the main attendees to the event.

The Visayas Cluster training will be held at the Boracay Ecovillage Resort and Convention Center, Malay, Aklan on September 13-16, while the Mindanao Cluster Training will be held at the Pryce Plaza Hotel and Convention Center, Carmen Hill, Cagayan de Oro City on November 8-11.
