La Salle tops
golfest vs. Ateneo

La Salle golfers dominated the five divisions of the 11th Ateneo-La Salle Golf Classic 2012 to claim the overall championship for the second time in the 11-year history of the friendly golf tournament played this year at the Negros Occidental Golf and Country Club in Brgy. Bata, Bacolod City over the weekend.

Marco Mendoza led the Green Archers campaign by topping the Class A division, while his fellow La Sallians Paolo Rojas placed second and Leonard Gonzaga settled for third place.

Jun-B Bantug gave La Salle another tile in Class B with his lowest gross finish, while Board Member Patrick Lacson picked up the top prize in Class B gross net, followed by Joe Villanueva and Bob Coscolluela, also from La Salle.

NFL resets Trimaxi, Real clash

Heavy rains made the Ayala North Point pitch unplayable last Sunday, prompting tournament officials of the 2nd Conference of the North Football League to reschedule the game between Trimaxi-Agro and Real Negrense.

The officials declared a force majeure, a ruling that will reset the scores of the game back to zero and erase the two goals scored by

Troy Fegidero in the 11th and 23rd minutes for Trimaxi.

Referree Assessor Dennis Estaniel said they allotted 45 minutes for the field to recover but the water did not subside. This prompted the officials to declare a for majeure.
