Bacolod Rep. Anthony Golez yesterday said he respects the stand of different groups on House Bill 6069 or the proposed creation of the national government hospital corporations, which he authored.
About 50 members of Gabriela-Negros picketed Thursday in front of the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City to oppose the corporatization of 26 government hospitals, one of which is CLMMRH.
In a statement sent to the DAILY STAR, Golez said, “I am willing to discuss and I am open to suggestions on how to improve the bill.”
He said he looks forward to a consultation meeting with Gabriela and other sectors as soon as he returns from a two-week course at the Harvard Business School in the United States.
Everyone, especially the poor, can avail of the medical assistance of the government at CLMMRH, Golez also assured.*LTG
