President Benigno Simeon Aquino III, Liberal Party chairman, has been invited to swear in mayors, vice-mayors, councilors and other elected officials of Negros Occidental joining the LP at the Nature’s Village Resort in Talisay City, Saturday, Rep. Alfredo Benitez (Neg. Occ, 3rd District) said yesterday.
Benitez, provincial LP chairman, will welcome the new members together with other LP bigwigs invited to the occasion – among them, LP president and Transportation and Communication Secretary Mar Roxas, Senator Franklin Drilon, and Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo, a press release from the congressman’s office said.
Sagay Councilor. Bubbles Tolentino of the LP Secretariat also announced the coming of LP Director-General Ma. Gladys Sta. Rita, Assistant Secretary Rolando Cucio, Office of Political Affairs, NIPS Executive Director Lambert Ramirez , and BM Henry Bacurnay, Jr. , PBMLP national president who will lead the Basic Orientation on Liberal Democracy for the new party members, that will start on May 4, in the same venue, the press release said.* back
