Police: Homosexual’s
killers to be charged for murder
BY ADRIAN NEMES III

Murder charges will be filed today before the Bacolod City Prosecutor’s Office against two men for the brutal killing of a homosexual, whose body was found in a grassy portion of Bacolod City’s reclamation area last week.

The charges will be filed against Erwin Alberio, 29, of Sitio Bayas in Estancia town, Iloilo province and his unidentified companion, Station 2 chief, Senior Insp. Robert Dejucos said.

Two female witnesses positively identified Alberio as one of the two men who was last seen in the company of Eddie Saraet Bolatayo, 21, of Brgy. Canturay, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental, before his body was found Wednesday near the BREDCO port.

Dejucos said Bolatayo’s elder brother Nelson, will serve as complainant against the suspects. They will also coordinate with the National Bureau of Investigation for the generation of a facial sketch of the other suspect, he said.

The witnesses described the other suspect to have a small build, about 5 feet and 6 inches tall, with dark complexion and was clad in orange shirt when he was seen with Bolatayo, Dejucos added.

He said that, aside from two women, two more witnesses are expected to surface against the suspects.

Meanwhile, Dejucos said they are also set to file grave threats charges against Albiero after witnesses claimed that he threatened them.

Albiero had said he has nothing to do with the killing of Bolatayo because he came from Hinigaran town to gather seashells.

Investigation showed that the suspects may have gotten mad at the victim who introduced himself as a girl to them after the prostitute they wanted to go out with refused.

Bolatayo sustained 21 stab wounds and his groin was pierced according to the report of City Medico Legal Officer Ely Cong.*APN
