Dental mission
benefit inmates

Thirty-nine inmates of the San Carlos City Jail in Negros Occidental benefited from the dental mission conducted by the alumni of the Colegio de Sta. Rita, a press release from the group said.

Doctors Virginia Aranas, Carina Veluz and Camilus Libron did the dental consultation and extraction. Other school alumni gave free medicines to the inmates, the press release said.

Angelina Cosas, the mission organizer, said this will not be the last of the alumni assistance to the inmates, as they will always support the jail management in promoting the welfare of the prisoners, the press release also said.

Meanwhile, the jail officers of San Carlos City participated in the “Brigada Eskwela” at the Florentina Ledesma Elementary School in the city on Monday, through the purchase of bulbs and fluorescent lights, and helping clean the school premises, the press release added.*
