Tigers beat Basecom
in overtime

Huminova Tigers needed an extra period to get away with an 111-108 victory and posted its first win against Basecom in the latest Class A match-up of the Fil-Sino All Asian Countertrade 3rd Conference Inter-Color Basketball Tournament at the Bacolod Tay Tung High School Po Hang Gym.

The Tigers’ win was in contrast to the 122-27 blowout of Jast Enterprises against Organic Solutions, where St. John’s Institute senior Kib Montalbo scored 27 points for the winning team.

In the Tigers-Basecom tiff, the latter had the chance to nail the victory but bungled in the final minutes despite a nine-point lead with two minutes left.

MCA, Alimon Steel lead
bowlfest winners

Mulo Car Aircon won in Bracket A, and Alimon Steel and St. Joseph – La Salle Adventurer’s led the title in the men’s non-rated and women’s bracket of the Suppliers Friendship Cup Open Trio Bowling Championship at the New Top’s Millennium Plaza Alley in Bacolod City.

Mulo Car Aircon Team anchored by Romulo Ramos was declared champion after sister team Silverado ASSFBI, led by Cecil Ramon Silverio, opted not to play in the final round and settled for first runner-up.

Other members of the MCA team were Allan Baer, Boy Tisoy Villanueva and Erwin Mazarte.
