Winning the championship match against the host team Silay in secondary boys’ volleyball, Team Murcia captured six championship titles in the Area III sports meet that ended in Silay, Saturday.

The Murciahanon athletes dominated the boxing event as its elementary boxers were uncontested, while the high school side prevailed over Talisay to win the gold.

Murcia also emerged winner in elementary softball, secondary girls’ arnis, secondary boys’ tennis and finished with the silver medal in elementary and secondary baseball, elementary boys’ tennis, secondary boys’ arnis, secondary girls’ softball, and secondary girls’ tennis.

Team Murcia placed fourth in elementary and secondary boys and girls’ taekwondo, with Talisay grabbing the gold in elementary boys and girls’ division, Silay jins in secondary boys’ category, and Victorias in the secondary girls’ department.

Talisay also claimed the gold in elementary and secondary baseball, and secondary boys’ arnis, while Victorias ruled elementary boys’ and girls’ tennis, and secondary girls’ tennis.
