I'm running - Gretchen
BY CARLA GOMEZ

Environment advocate Gretchen Oppen Cojuangco, wife of business tycoon Eduard Cojuangco, yesterday confirmed herself that she is still running for congresswoman of the fourth district of Negros Occidental.

Cojuangco, who was at the Provincial Capitol in Bacolod City, made the confirmation amid rumors that she may pull out of the race.

Asked if she is still running, Cojuangco quipped, "As of today I am, I don't know about tomorrow. If I am dead tomorrow, I cannot run."

Earlier her son Rep. Carlos Cojuangco (Neg. Occ., 4th district) also said his mother is still running for congress and rumors that she will not just shows that the political season has started.

"I think she will still make the best representative to continue the programs and projects in the fourth district," Cojuangco, who is on his third term, said.

Mrs. Cojuangco is continuing to make the rounds of the fourth district, a member of her staff also said.*CPG
