Negros Tenpin Open
starts tomorrow

The ninth staging of Negros Open Tenpin Bowling Tournament opens tomorrow and will run until Oct. 21 at the Lopue's East Bowling Center in Bacolod City.

Bowlers from all over the country will participate in this event that will be graced by Jaime Dychaoco, vice-president of the Philippine Bowling Congress.

"Mr. Dychaoco is credited for the provincial tenpin development program of the PBC", Billy Lopue, one of the organizers of the event, said in a press release.

Anton Co and Hector Cornell will carry the fight for the local bowlers, along with Mary Ng, who will see action in the women's division.

Also expected to fight it out in the finals are Alfred Yulo, Blandy Hagad, Jimmy Yap, and Ariel Yelo. Senior bowlers Bob Lacson, Dr. Lourdes Infante and Solina Tan are also expected to figure prominently in the race for the titles.

Arthur Ang, president of the Sugarbowl Tenpin Bowling Association Inc., expressed gratitude to the Negros Occidental Cultural and Sports Foundation, 96 Enterprises, Bacolod Spa, Bestank, CONFED, Izumi Tires and Uratex for supporting the five-day national tournament. *
