Mirasol wants peaceful
coexistence within UNA
BY LISA GAPAC

Rep. Alejandro Mirasol (Neg. Occ., 5 th District) yesterday said he hopes a peaceful solution to the choice of the United Negros Alliance gubernatorial bet will be reached.

We need peaceful coexistence, he said.

Gov. Alfredo Marañon has announced his intention to run for reelection, while Vice Governor Genaro Alvarez has said he is the choice of the Nationalist People's Coalition for governor of Negros Occidental.

A meeting of the congressmen of Negros Occidental in Manila to determine UNA's party choice is expected on August 29.

Meanwhile, Mirasol said he is working for the conversion of a 20-kilometer stretch of provincial road in the fifth district of Negros Occidental into a national road.

The road passing through Moises Padilla, will link La Castellana to Canlaon City in Negros Oriental, he said.

The road can be built in phases over several year, he added.*LTG
