In preparation for its NOPSSCEA campaign this school year, the University of St. La Salle men's volleyball team registered its second straing win to take the lead in the 4th Bro. Ceci Hojilla Memorial Cup Inter-Club Volleyball Championship at the University of St. La Salle College Covered Court over the weekend.

USLS beat Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod, 25-19, 25-19 and 25-4, on Sunday then prevailed over UNO-R yesterday, 25-12, 25-22 and 25-21.

Earlier, the CSA-B Eagles beat the Rams, 25-19, 29-27, 20-25 and 25-23.

UNO-R had a better showing in the women's department as the Lady Rams beat their rivals from CSA-B, 25-16, 25-23 and 25-17.

In Women's B competition, St. John's Institute won over USLS Nursing/CAS, 25-19, 26-24, and 25-16, while Silay Team B defeated Bacolod Tay Tung High School Alumni, 25-21, 25-18 and 25-9. Silay won over La Carlota City, 25-20, 25-23 and 25-10 in the same division.

Other results showed USLS/CAS winning over Repollians, 25-11, 25-11, 21-25 and 25-23 in Men's B group A, while Silay City escaped with a 25-14, 25-21, 19-25, 19-25 and 15-9 win over PLDT-MAW in Men's B group B, and Hawaiian PC prevailing over St. John's Institute, 25-19, 25-22, 14-25 and 25-14.

Twenty seven teams are seeing action in the tournament organized by the Negros Occidental Volleyball Association as a tribute to sports patron and well-loved La Sallian brother, the late Bro. Ceci Hojilla.*NAB
