18 teams vying for title
in media bowling tilt

Eighteen teams representing media outlets in Bacolod City will see action when the Coca-Cola/Negros Press Club/Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas opens Saturday, 1 p.m. at the Goldenfields Superlanes.

Visayan DAILY STAR bowlers, led by Hernand Garciniego, are eyeing their third straight crown in the friendly bowling tournament after bagging the title for two straight years.

Negros Press Club president Arman Toga said the two-day tournament is one of the sports activities of the NPC for the year, and it is supported by KBP and by the Coca Cola Bottlers Philippines Bacolod plant.

He added that cash prizes will be given to the top four geams and for the individual top players.

The bowling tournament, Toga said, aims to renew the camaraderie among the members of the local media and for them to take a break from their news gathering and reporting routine.*NAB
