LTO Bacolod chief
denies solicitations

BY LISA GAPAC

Bacolod City Land Transportation Office head Antonio Norman Saril yesterday said there is no truth to reports that their office is soliciting monetary donations for their activities.

Saril was reacting to reports that the LTO is seeking donations for their activities using his name.

“My office has recently received several reports that I have been calling different individuals and business entities soliciting for LTO official affairs,” Saril said.

He said he was alarmed by such reports and some of his close friends have informed him about it.

“There is no instance in which I or my office made any such solicitation or sought any donation for an LTO affair,” Saril said.

Those who received solicitation letters or telephone calls using his name must report it to the police station or to his office, he also said. *LTG
