Deed of donation signed on use
of private access road to hospital

BY LISA GAPAC

A deed of donation was recently signed between the province of Negros Occidental and a private land owner to use the latter’s 2,600 square meter land as access road to the provincial-funded hospital in Sipalay City.

Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr., and the land owner, Merceditas Montilla, signed the agreement on the use of the land in Brgy. Canturay, Sipalay City. Montilla had also donated two hectares of land for the establishment of the hospital that is funded by the province.

Montilla yesterday said the access road from the national highway to the hospital will be named Friendship Avenue because she met different people and made new friends though the projects she had with Marañon.

“We signed a new agreement, the Deed of Donation, after the usufruct that was signed earlier was being questioned,” she said.

She added that the access road now employs 90 workers and that has already provided jobs and additional income to their families.*LTG
