CLO probes
personnel at city SDC
BY ADRIAN NEMES III

The Bacolod City Legal Office is investigating employees of the Social Development Center following a complaint by a judge that a teenager at the SDC was impregnated by a fellow child-in-conflict- with-law resident, CLO composite team leader Ceasar Beloria said yesterday.

On Monday, Regional Trial Court Branch 43 Judge Philadelfa Agraviador asked the CLO to investigate the matter and personnel at the SDC that houses CICLs.

Agraviador also asked the CLO to file proper administrative charges against the erring personnel, if merited.

In her report, Social Welfare Officer 1 Jennifer Chang, who is in charge of both the female teenager, who is facing drug raps, and the alleged father of her child, who has a case for frustrated murder, said they escaped from SDC in December last year and were recaptured, but escaped again in March this year.

Beloria met with the SDC personnel Wednesday, listed down their names and their functions, and scheduled a conference with them on Monday before proceeding with the investigation of the case of the pregnant teenager.

Beloria said that they will discuss other concerns at the SDC, including the frequent escapes at the facility and the rumbles among the CICLs.

He assured that those found liable for shortcomings at the SDC, will be meted appropriate penalties.*APN
