MassKara bowling tilt
rolls off today at Top

The Masskara Regional Invitational Bowling Tournament opens today at the New Top’s Millennium Plaza Alley in Bacolod City.

The event is a six-game series with the top four squads after the eliminations vying for the championship in an up-the-ladder system. It is being organized by Active Solid Strikers Fellowship Bowlers Inc. in cooperation with the Visayas Alliance of Duckpin Bowlers Association, Condura and Sharp Philippines.

The teams from Iloilo City, Roxas City and Negros Occidental will vie in the two-day competition.

At stake in the men’s division is a P15,000 gift certificate for the champion and a trophy, while first and second runners-up will get P5,000 and P3,000, respectively, whilethird runner-up will receive P3,000.

The champion will get P10,000 in the women’s categoryandthe first and second runners-up P6,000 and P4,000.

ASSFBI president Cecil Ramon Silverio said prizes in the women’s bracket is guaranteed for eight teams.

Only those who have played at least three games during the elimination phase will be allowed to compete in the championship, tomorrow.

“Engkwentro” will also be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

Games will start at 10 a.m.

Kami Mga Hubin Bowling Club – Microasia four-day “National Masskara Open Trio Bowling Tournament” follows on Oct.17 at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.*HLG
