Bacolod Rep. Anthony Golez Jr. has filed a House resolution urging the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines to allow and authorize the management of the Bacolod-Silay Airport and Iloilo Airport to utilize a portion of the 10 percent retained income for assisting passengers affected by cancelled or delayed flights due to force majeure, a press release from his office said.
The Regional Development Council – Region VI adopted RDC-VI Resolution No. VI-24 that requests the CAAP to allow the management of the Bacolod-Silay Airport and Iloilo Airport to use a portion of their respective retained incomes for taking stranded passengers back to the city proper, the release added.
A resolution congratulating and commending Cris Valdez for winning in the 2012 International Children’s Peace Prize in the Hague, Netherlands on September 20, was also filed by Golez in the House.
Cris Valdez was awarded the International Children's Peace Prize for his efforts to improve the plight of street children in the Philippines, the press release said.
The International Children's Peace Prize is given annually to children who have made a difference in countering problems that affects children.
Golez said the recognition received by Valdez shows the innate desire of Filipinos to better our country, the press release said.* back
