PNP deploying mascots
BY GILBERT BAYORAN

The Police Region 6 office will soon deploy three mascots to help in the effort to educate Western Visayas residents on public safety.

Chief Supt. Agrimero Cruz, regional police director, yesterday said that “Matarong” (good), a policeman, “Masaligan” (trusthworthy), a policewoman, and “Dagoy” will be playing major roles in the distribution of safety tips to students, mall shoppers and people in public places of Western Visayas.

Cruz said they expect the mascots to help the police and its force multipliers, including members of the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team, in ensuring a peaceful Christmas celebration in the region. * GPB
