La Salle vs. Ateneo
golfest set July 6-7

The One La Salle Cebu Alumni Association, together with the Ateneo Alumni Association Cebu Chapter, is set to host the 11th La Salle-Ateneo Golfest at the Negros Occidental Golf and Country Club on July 6 and 7, a press release from the USLS said.

This year’s tournament is themed, “Green or Blue… It’s our time to shine together”.

This tournament is the only surviving game between the alumni of the two archrival schools.

A player must have studied in either a La Salle Brothers or a Jesuit School for at least two school years to qualify for the tournament. Those coming from both schools may choose which team to play for.

For those with club certified handicaps, there will be three categories, while those without official handicaps will play in the open class using the Blind Callaway format. Registration fee is at P2,500, the press release said.

Playing two rounds of golf at the Negros Occ. Golf and Country Club may entitle the player to a tournament giveaway and chance to win in the raffle.

The event aims to foster camaraderie among the alumni of the two institutions and the funds raised from the tournament will also be used for charity projects.

Those interested in more information on the 11th La Salle-Ateneo golfest may call the Negros Occ. Golf and Country Club at Tel. No. 441-1735.*
