U22 team prepares
for AFC qualifiers

After holding a training camp in San Carlos City for a couple of weeks and playing friendly matches against the Azkals, the national football Under22 team, mostly composed of players and coaches from the Visayas, will leave for Thailand next week to start preparing for the June 23 to July 2 AFC U22 Qualifiers in Myanmar.

The team is led by San Carlos City's John Carmona as head coach with Don Bosco Technological Center's Glenn Ramos and Dave Gerali as assistant coaches, and Dan Palami as team manager.

They will be flying to Thailand for a series of friendlies ahead of their Group G matches in Myanmar.

Suppliers bowlfest
resumes at Top’s

The Suppliers Friendship Cup Open Trio Bowling Championship hosted by Sharp Phil. resumes tonight at the New Top’s Millennium Plaza Alley in Bacolod City.

In today’s action, the tournament leader Kami Mga Hubin team of Robbie Elegado has a 60 pins lead over Davies “A” of Romel Jover and Edgar Jerez.

After seven outings, the current No.1 in the premiere division has 4,911 pinfalls, while Jover’s group has 4,851.

PEMO, Bantay Bata to hold
fun walk, run, bike activity

Walkers, runners and bikers will converge for the environment on June 17 at 5 a.m. at the Bacolod City Public Plaza to celebrate the 20th Provincial Environment Week, a press release from organizers said.

The Negros Occidental government, through the Provincial Environment Management Office and the Bantay Bata Foundation of ABS-CBN, organizes the 1st Provincial Fun Walk, Run and Bike as a kick off activity of the various lined up activities for the Environment Week celebration on June 17 to 22.

The Fun Walk will take off from the Bacolod City Public Plaza in front of the Police Station 1 and will pass by the old city hall at Luzuriaga Street and turn left at Lacson Street.
