Casas, Diaz lead
top bowlers’ list

Kami Mga Hubin key player Wilson Casas, FRM Sharp reliable Irne Diaz, and Precy Pillo of Davies Fusion won in their rivals in their divisions to earn the master bowler title in the Suppliers Friendship Cup Open Trio Bowling Tournament at the New Top’s Millennium Plaza Alley in Bacolod City.

Casas beat Munching Guinson of Davies in the final round, 117-107.

Guinson will challenge Casas by winning over teammate Steve Ramos in the quarterfinals, 100-85, as well as Alan Baer of Mulo Car Aircon in the semis, 120-119.

Diaz, with teammate Boy “Alahoy” Wingpo topped the non-rated department with similar 320 points, but the former won the master’s plum through a three balls contest, 8-7.

In his semi-final clash, Wingpo beat Roger Flores of Amor ASSFBI, 121-113. Flores downed Iran Pielago of Davies in the quarterfinal match, 116-114.

In the ladies category, Precy Pillo triumphed over Minnie Chua, 110-92.

Chua stopped Carmen Romales in the semis, 115-97, while the latter beat Lea Javier in the quarterfinals, 111-110.

Meanwhile, three teams in separate divisions hope to remain in contention through the up-the-ladder championship Friday.

Taking the lead in the tournament are Kami Mga Hubin and Sharp in the rated bracket; Candles/Alimon Steel and FRM Marketing/Sharp in the non-rated and Condura ASSFBI Ladies and Tiger Eye I in the distaff side.

To engage in a rubber match are Silverado ASSFBI, Davies “A” and Davies “P” in the premiere class; St. Joseph Alumni Association, Metro Sales, and ESD Electronz in category, and Davies Fusion, SJS-LS D’Adventurer’s and Retro in the ladies bracket.*HLG
