Toyota beats Fortuna to
claim third victory

Toyota-Bacolod had to dig deep into its pool of talent to get away with a 122-118 win against Fortuna to claim its third victory and stay unbeaten in the 1st PROBAC/LNA7 Invitational Basketball Tournament at the West Negros University Gym, Wednesday night.

Starting strong in the first quarter, Fortuna booked a 26-16 lead over Toyota behind Carlo Chu’s 12 points and the combined 10 points from JR Gapusan and Bonoy Olmedo, while Keempee Lagrason was the only Toyota player to score in double digit with 10 points.

Making up for its lackluster performance in the opening minutes, Toyota posted a 24-17 run to cut the lead down to three points at the half, 43-40.
