SJI booters post win
 in NOPSSCEA clash

The newly formed St. John Institute high 10 Under football squad mentored by Peter Talbot post twin victories against University of St. La Salle and University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos in the NOPSSCEA tournament.

Mentored by Peter Talbot, the young Johnians beat USLS-IS, 2-0, with team captain Paolo Gabriel Go booting in the two winning goals.

Against UNO-R, Michael Jan Baloyo scored three goals, while Go had another two-goal output to register SJI’s back-to-back win in the tournament.

This Saturday, SJI will be playing against Don Bosco, 10 a.m. at UNO-R pitch with the playoff set on Sunday, 9 a.m.

Talbot said the whole squad deserves praise for their hard work and commitment. He also cited the parents for supporting their children.

Under Talbot’s guidance, the SJI footballers are slowly finding their niche in local age-group football scene.*NAB
