LRA launches e-Title

The Land Registration Authority of the Philippines and the Land Registration Systems, Inc. have launched the Voluntary Title Standardization or e-Title Program, a press release from LRA said.

The program givers registered landowners the chance to replace their existing titles with e-Titles which are printed on security paper with unique technological features, the press release said.

The new copy of the titles will be stored in an online system to secure it from fraud, tampering, and from loss or destruction due to fire, theft, or natural disasters.

Registries of Deeds in Cebu, Danao City, and Toledo City recently joined the program.

Registered landowners, co-owners, and/or authorized representatives can file a petition for a voluntary standardization of certificate of title at the registries of does and submit this along with a signed form, valid government-issued ID, and other required documents, to get an e-title, the press release said.*
