Batch ’69 leads bowlfest

Batch ’69 temporarily led in the St. Joseph High School – La Salle Inter-class Bowling Tournament at the Lopue’s East Bowling Centre in Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City.

The team headed by Boy Geronca and Melot Alimon, tops the overall standing with a total score of 13,335 in 26 outings.

Jessie Sanchez’s group Class ’71 is second with 12,980 followed by Batch ’88-2001 Combined with 12,833 balls.

Catching up with only 23 games played are Batch ’78 anchored by Elmer Libo-on and Class ’68 led by Dan Corcelles and Roming Dellomes with 11,637 and 11,472, respectively.

Class ’84 has 11,447; Class ‘80/81, 11,446, and C’73, 11,289.

With 20 games each are Batch ’83 with 10,106 and Class ’75 with 9,761.

C’83 and C’69 hold the record in the team single and triple with 582 and 1,644 each.

In the individual contest, Class ’96 starter Art Palo and Mitzi Chua of C’68 had the highest pinning marks in the men and women’s department with 96 and 94, as Melot Alimon of C’69 posted the highest single and triple in the men’s bracket with 152 and 391.

Neonita Canieso (C’69) and C’83 bet Stella Ongsingco had the women’s single and triple with 150 and 350.

The top 10 players in separate divisions after 26 meetings are Jun Lozada (B-83), 112.20; Carl Aguda (B’88-01), 110.90; Art palo (B’84), 110.76; Melot Alimon (C’69), 109.38; Romulo Ramos (B’80-81), 109.57; Remo Jareno (B-88-01), 109.38; Carlo Boyero (B’69), 108.38; Dante Cortez (C’75), 107.78; Jack Palermo (C-78), 107.66, and Mario Yulo (B’71), 107.16 in the men’s category.

Stella Ongsingco leads the distaff side with 106.87 averaged per game.

Also in the top 10 are Suzette Morales (B-80-81); Minnie Chua (B-88-01), Caroline Yanson (B’86), Ramolita Arinal (B-84); Carlyn Santia (B-71); Lucia Calamba (B-78); Leila Aguda (B’75); Janet Alimon (B’69), and Ging Amor (B’71).*HLG
