The Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Negros Occidental yesterday approved two supplemental budgets of the provincial government and its Economic Enterprises Development Committee, for a total of P522,495,754, most of which is allocated for the construction and installation of a hydro-electric power plant at Mambukal Resort in Murcia.
Board Member Miller Serondo said the 2012 supplemental budget number 4 of the province of Negros Occidental of P512,510,754; and the supplemental budget number 3 of the Economic Enterprises Development Department, of P9,985,000, as endorsed by Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr., were unanimously approved by the SP during its regular session yesterday.
Of the P512.5 million supplemental budget of the province, P260 million has been earmarked for the construction of the 1.36 MW hydro-electric power plant in Murcia, P170 million for the Negros cyber center, P50 million for the construction of the 3-storey Provincial Administration Center, P10 million for the construction of additional classroom annex building at the Negros Occidental High School.
Meanwhile, the P9.9M EEDD supplemental budget is earmarked for purchase of medical, dental and hospital equipment of the Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital. Office supplies, payment for personnel services, repair and maintenance, miscellaneous, and consultancy fees, among others.*GPB back
