Relatives of the high school teacher murdered in Bais City , Negros Oriental, want a reinvestigation of the case where a minor has been tagged as the suspect.

Stabbed dead allegedly by a 17-year-old in the evening of Nov. 21 was Alexander Cueco Labe, 42, single, a teacher of Bais City High School .

In an inquest report, the minor was charged with homicide.

The victim's brother, Nicolas, said that the victim's bracelet, ring and necklace worth P20,000, cash amounting to P20,000 plus P12,000 Christmas bonus were taken from the suspect's possession.

They doubt, however, the confession of the minor who failed to execute an affidavit, Nicolas said, adding that they have strong suspicion that somebody else could be behind the confession.

The victim had a drinking spree with three persons before the incident.

The minor's name is being withheld pursuant to Republic Act 9344. He will be turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development for detention.*JG
