BY CARLA GOMEZ

Former Assemblymen Antonio Gatuslao yesterday announced the support of his group for Alejandro Mirasol who is running for congressman of the fifth district Negros Occidental.

The special election to fill up the vacancy left by the death of Rep. Ignacio Arroyo Jr. is set on June 2.

Earlier, Gatuslao's nephew, Himamaylan Mayor Agustin Ernesto Bascon declared his support for Board Member Dino Yulo who has also announced his intention to run for congressman of the fifth district.

Gatuslao said that, with the support of his group and the Liberal Party, he expects Mirasol to win in Himamaylan City.
