Minuluan teams rule
PFF Football Caravan

Five football teams carrying the banner of Talisay City's Minuluan squad captured the championship in their respective divisions during the PFF Football Caravan 2012 recently at the Carlos Hilado Memorial State College pitch in Talisay City.

Minuluan teams dominated the 10 Under category, 14 Under, 18 Under, Ladies Open, and 16 Under Girls against teams coming from different clubs in Negros Occidental and Oriental, Iloilo , and Luzon .

After Bracket A in the 10 Under eliminations, Minuluan A went on to beat St. John's Institute, 2-0, in the final match to bag the championship. Other participating teams were Southridge A, B, and C,

Busay, Bago City A and B, Minuluan B, Wildfox, Don Bosco Technical Institute, and Rising Star.

In 14 Under, Minuluan A again had the upper hand in the elimination round to secure a seat in the finals where they blanked Westbridge, 2-0, to win the title. Aside from the top two teams, under squads that took part in the competition were Sagasa, SJI, Rising Star A and B, Southridge A, B, and C, Minuluan B, Foundation University, and DBTI.

It was an all-Talisay team in 18 Under as Minulan A was challenged by Barangay Concepcion in the final match. The Minuluan team scrored three goals against Concepcion 's 2 markers to capture the crown to dominate the group that included Rising Star, Carmela Valley , Sagay City and Minuluan B.

In the Ladies Open, Minuluan A escaped with a 1-0 win over the visiting team from Rizal Football Club to win the title. Also in the group were Minuluan B, and the St. Scholastica's Academy Alumni football team.

A stronger lineup from Minuluan A also captured the championship in Girls' 16 Under category as they outplayed Rizal FC for a 3-0 victory. The three other teams in the group were Brgy. Concepcion , SSA, and Sagay City.

Preventing a sweep by the host team was the team from Don Bosco Technical Institute team that ruled the 8 Under and 12 Under categories.

DBTI beat Southridge, 1-0, in the 16 Under and edged Minuluan A, 3-2, in the 12 Under division.

St. John's Institute also went home with a championship trophy in the 8 Under category after winning over Minuluan A, 3-2.*NAB
