459 soldiers in
Region  6 promoted

BY GILBERT BAYORAN

Four hundred fifty nine soldiers of the 3rd Infantry Division in the Western Visayas were promoted recently after meeting the requirements set by the Philippine Army’s Promotion System.

Maj. Enrico Gil Ileto, 3ID spokesman, said their promotion also comes with an increase in their pay and allowances.

The soldiers, now holding higher ranks, are qualified to occupy positions of higher responsibility, Ileto said.

Col. Wilson Leyva, 3ID chief of staff, yesterday led the military officers in the pinning of ranks on the newly-promoted Army enlisted personnel at Camp Macario Peralta in Jamindan, Capiz.
Ileto said that, as a professional organization, the Philippine Army recognizes that changes or movements in leadership, promotions and change of positions are part of the dynamics and essential mechanisms in a military institution.* GPB
