Three teenagers were apprehended by Station 2 policemen at about 3:35 a.m. yesterday at San Agustin Street, Bacolod City, four weeks after they allegedly held up an eatery employee in the city.
Senior Police Officer 1 Mario dela Torre, chief investigator of Police Station 2, identified those arrested as Aldrin Gregorio, Junie La Chica, Edwin Palcon, all 18, and residents of Murcia town, in Negros Occidental.
Dela Torre said the employees of the Angel Burger store sought police help, claiming that they saw three suspicious-looking persons near their establishment.
Case investigator Police Officer 2 Christopher Profeta said Christine Neri, 19, of Purok Fire in Brgy. 8, Bacolod, and employed by the Obees eatery positively identified the three as the same persons who held her up while she was at her workplace on January 26.
Neri had told the police that three unidentified men entered their establishment. One of them threatened her with an ice pick, declared a hold-up, took her cellular phone and fled with his companions.
Profeta told the DAILY STAR that Neri’s cellular phone and a bladed weapon were recovered from Gregorio.
Robbery charges have been filed against the suspects before the Bacolod City Prosecutor’s office yesterday.
Dela Torre is appealing to robbery hold-up victims to visit their station and identify the suspects, so that more charges could be filed against them.*APN
