A member of the Civilian Armed Forces Geographical Unit and four others, with pending arrest warrants for attempted murder, murder and theft, were apprehended Sunday and Monday by the police in Negros Occidental.
CAFGU member Juanito Eroyla was arrested Monday by the police at the Maricalum detachment in Sipalay City, for the crime of attempted murder.
Kabankalan Regional Trial Court Edgardo de los Santos has recommended P120,000 bail for Eroyla, a resident of Brgy. San Rafael Hinobaan, who is now locked up at the Hinobaan Police Station jail.
On the same day, the police apprehended Randy Camelo,alias Bendol, and Warren Estacion,alias Estoy, in Hacienda Dresden, Brgy. Inolingan, MOises Padilla, by virtue of an arrest warrant issued by La Carlota RTC Judge Francisco Rodriguez, for the crime of murder.
Camelo and Bendol were also denied bail by Rodriguez.
Two other suspects who have pending arrest warrant for theft, were also nabbed by the police in the cities of Silay and Victorias on June 15 and 18.
Apprehended were July Pelaez,18 and Rey John Tecson, 20.
Judges Napoleon Diamante and Felipe Banzon have recommended P12,000 bail for each of the accused, who are now in jail.
Senior Inspector Albert Sy, meanwhile, reported the arrest of Albert Alamis,19, on June 18 in Binalbagan, for illegal possession of firearms and drugs.
Alamis was intercepted by policemen in front of a church in Brgy. San Pedro, Binalbagan, for having an improvised gun with live ammunition and 13 sticks of suspected marijuana cigarets.*GPB
