WV expected to get
new police director

BY GILBERT BAYORAN

Western Visayas is expected to have a new regional police director next month.

Chief Supt. Cipriano Querol, WV regional police director, yesterday revealed that he is due for transfer next month, to occupy a higher position at Camp Crame.

Querol has served his current post since October 2010.

The transfer is part of the impending reshuffling of PNP senior officials in key positions triggered by the retirement of several police generals.

Likely replacements for Querol as PRO-6 director are Chief Superintendents Agrimero Cruz, Gil Hitosis and Catalino Rodriguez, who used to serve at the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office in the early 1990s.

Chief Supt. Charles Calima, former NOPPO director, is now the Intelligence chief of the PNP, while newly-promoted Chief Supt. Ronilo Quebrar, former director of the Bacolod City Police Office, remains at the Directorate for Human Resource and Doctrine Development.*GPB
