DSWD warns vs. text scams

The Department of Social Welfare and Development warned yesterday against text scams.

The department is warning the public, and especially the Pantawad Pamilyang Pilipino Program beneficiaries, because the scams have started to spread nationwide, a press release from DSWD said.

The text from cell phone number 09275928747, states that the “PRESIDENT N0Y-N0Y AQUINO FOUNDATION.4PS-PANTAWID PAMILYANG PILIPINO PROGRAM. Is informing you that you won P950,000 as second prize winner, is the "Handog pang-kabuhayan" raffle promo!

Help stop this culprit and report immediately to the nearest DSWD Office or text to Pantawid Pamilya’s Grievance Hotline 0918-912-2183 / 09478181395,” upon receiving such messages, the press release said.*
