A farm administrator allegedly shot dead an hacienda laborer
who reacted after he was denied a job in Hacienda Felicia, Brgy.
VIII, Victorias City Tuesday.
Rolando Escoro, farm administrator of Hacienda Felicia, immediately
gave himself up to Brgy. Capt. Remo Pulgado and endorsed an M-16
assault rifle with two magazines containing 57 ammunition. Supt.
Norberto Boston, Victorias police chief, yesterday said the victim,
Antonio Buena, a laborer of Hacienda Felicia, sustained two gunshot
wounds in the left shoulder and at the back, which caused his death.
Initial police investigations show that Bueno, who was allegedly
armed with a bladed weapon went to the house of Jose Escoro, hacienda
overseer, whom he confronted for failure to give him a job in the
hacienda.
This prompted Jose to seek the help of his brother, Rolando,
who responded and was armed with an armalite rifle, police investigations
also showed.
Recovered from the scene were five empty shells of M-16 armalite
rifle. However, the police failed to recover any bladed weapon carried
and owned by the victim, as claimed by family of the suspect.
Boston said Rolando Escoro was brought yesterday to the police
Crime Laboratory for a paraffin test.*GPB
