Guillem: CENECO officials
face preventive suspension
BY CARLA GOMEZ

Ed Guillem, president of the Central Negros Electric Cooperative, last night said he has received reliable information that the National Electrification Administration will issue a 30-day preventive suspension to him, six other CENECO board members, and the firm's general manager.

Guillem said he was told the preventive suspension is being issued while the NEA conducts an investigation on the manner in which CENECO acquired a Alijis substation transformer. We are open to any investigation because we have not committed anything wrong, he said.

Guillem said an influential Bacolod politician is believed to be behind the moves against the CENECO officials.*CPG
