Little league team
seeks reorganization

Softball champions Andrea Mae Gonzales, Michelle Lentija, and Charmaine Joy Oria of the Big League team from Manila that won the title in the World Series competition recently in Kalamazoo , Michigan , USA , came home over the weekend to touch base with their former mentors from ETCS elementary school in Bacolod City .

During the press conference at the Negros Press Club building the three Big Leaguers listened to the same problems that plagued their home team ever since – lack of funds and lack of local support.

Tess Himpolaran, trainer of the perennial Palarong Pambansa champion ETCS squad, said their problem lies in their own organization and they need to re-organize the Little League Bacolod East Chapter to strengthen their representation to the Little League Philippines .

Gargar tops master
bowler race

Rey Gargar of TNT/Cesar Machine Shop/NPBC bagged the master bowler title in the Class A division, while Johann Genolos and Stella Ongsingco of St. Joseph High School Alumni Association did the same in their respective departments of the 19 th Sharp Friendship Cup Open Trio Bowling Tournament at the New Top's Millennium Plaza Alley in Bacolod City.

Gargar claimed the Class A championship by default when NPBC/RJ Stars twice-to-beat qualifier Hernand Garciniego of NPBC/RJ Stars opted not to play after he felt a cramp on his left arm before the championship game.

Gargar advanced to the final after beating Dodong Paran of Kami Mga Hubin in the semi-final, 123-113.

Joshbianc bags YBAC title

Hard work and perseverance paid off as Joshbianc Motors beat Robinhood in the finals, 84-76, to win the championship in the Your Basketball Athletic Club 1st Conference Presidential Cup 2012, Aug. 30, at the West Negros University gym.

The balanced scoring of Joshbianc carried the squad past Robinhood as the team established control of the game as early as the first quarter with a 21-15 run courtesy of an inspired performance from Eric Abanilla, Joel Togle and team manager Jun Ballesteros.

Joshbianc continued to dominate the game in the second quarter for a 45-32 halftime advantage, and went on to seal the victory with a dominating second half performance.
