American robbed
BY GILBERT BAYORAN

A group of unidentified armed men robbed an American citizen and his 12 companions at gunpoint Monday in Brgy. Atipulohan, Bago City, Negros Occidental.

The seven suspects, who were armed with .45 caliber pistols, took P13,000 in cash and imported personal belongings, from American businessman Richard Davis, 76, and his companions.

The suspects fled immediately after the incident.

Meanwhile, two suspects in an arson case were freed from jail on Tuesday, after they posted bail of P40,000 each, in La Castellana, Negros Occidental.

The two suspects, identified as Sofronio Balono Ogates Jr. and Rogelio Tupas Ogates, had been apprehended for the crime of arson by the police in Hacienda Malaga, Brgy. Robles, La Castellana, by virtue of an arrest warrant issued by La Carlota Regional Trial Court Judge Pepito Gellada. * GPB
