The promotion of Col. Jonas Sumagaysay, assistant division commander of the Army’s 3rd Infantry Division, to brigadier general has finally been approved.

Sumagaysay, former commander of the 303rd Infantry Brigade in Negros Occidental, was among the 16 senior military officials, promoted as recommended by the Department of National Defense and approved by President Benigno Aquino III.
